Remora Technology is a company in the Hitec
Industries Group. It is established to do
development, marketing, sales, project execution
and service of HiLoad Systems based on the
patented HiLoad Technology. Development of
the HiLoad Technology was initiated in 2000,
and has been financially supported by Conoco
Phillips, who has also provided operational
advice.
The HiLoad Technology has a wide range
of applications, spanning from offshore
loading of crude oil, turret mooring of
FSOs and FPSOs as well as a mobile propulsion/DP
system for ship shapes and semis. (HiLoad
Systems are used for offshore loading of
crude oil, and for mooring of FPSOs and
FSOs.)
The HiLoad Systems offer significant cost
and operational advantages. For LNG import,
there is a HiLoad LNG Terminal with regasification,
which can unload any LNG Carrier and regas
the cargo at an extremely competitive price.
The solutions related to LNG is marketed
by TORP. Remora Technology has offices in
Houston, Stavanger, Arendal and Lagos.
